I grew up in eastern Idaho and loved to draw and paint at an early age. I knew from an early age that art would be my passion in life. During my school years I won many art competitions, which only added to my love for art.
I completed a Bachelors Degree in Commercial and Fine Art at Utah State University. I started working in the garment industry, illustrating for most National Parks and other travel destinations. The last several years I worked for a private school illustrating children's books, poster and advertisements.
Now that my three children are raised, my wife Pam and I are traveling the country as much as possible so that I can bring to life the stunning beauty all around us. My new focus is on painting the great outdoors and the beautiful wildlife that inspires me!
I hope that in some way, my artwork inspires all to enjoy the magnificent wonders around us. The American landscape has always fascinated me: the history of old barns or farmhouses, the beauty in every raindrop, sunrise, clouds floating above us and every living creature. Finding new ways to interpret and present these images is my joy!
