As the only 3D artists currently here at Art at the Main Gallery, us two pottery artists put our heads together and thought that January calls for “Pottery for Winter Comfort” to fight off both the winter chill and the early winter doldrums. With Jaye’s specialization in teapots, and all the comfort a warm cup brings to a chilly day, we thought tea pots and hot chocolate mugs would be perfect, along with some beautiful vases to hold flowers for much-needed color in winter. I thought a hot chocolate set would bring a perfect touch to our theme as well: My melty marsh-mellowed mugs and tea pot sing in warm brown tones.
