Jim Woodward is an award-winning landscape artist who was raised in the very small town of Jackson Wyoming (at least it was small then). He spent his youth hiking, fishing, and working out of doors in the shadows of the Tetons, some of the most spectacular mountains in the world where his grandfather had homesteaded in the 1800's. He says that becoming at artist always seemed like a natural thing to do for someone growing up in that beautiful environment. The ever-changing seasons of the Rocky Mountain West provided inspirational landscapes for him to paint throughout the year. Jim is a dedicated conservationist and strives to leave no evidence of his passage as he records the wonders of nature in his paintings.
After retiring in 1979 he moved to Utah where he continues to find an ample supply of colorful vistas and high mountain peaks that will keep him painting for the rest of his life.
