Betta Inman is a Utah native who began painting in 2001. She was inspired by her teacher and mentor, Donna Parsons to paint still-life. She immediately connected to the canvas. During the early stages of her calling her work was recognized as Best of Show at the Utah State Fair. Since then her work has been juried in and won awards in exhibitions sponsored by the Intermountain Society of Artists (ISA) and Bountiful Davis Art Center (BDAC). Painting is Betta’s passion. Her paintings show a keen interest in nature and cooking, with many floral and fresh fruits and vegetable themed works. She employs a loose style; her transition from subtle to bold colors and strokes create a balance that is interesting and inviting.

“I love to paint in my studio, painting from real life and also using reference material. I believe it’s the translation that counts. I want to use what’s before me but, more importantly, I ask myself what I can leave out? It's the leaving out that creates freshness and keeps it painterly.” – Betta Inman
